After installing the Nvidia drivers again and again. I could not help but think, “why are the CUDA 1.1 drivers for Windows XP forceware drivers?” Are the drivers any more special than the Quadro drivers?
I’m running a Geforce 9800GX2 with a Quadro 540 as my display card, but every time I install my Quadro drivers it does not recognize the Geforce card.
I’m not quiet sure what’s going on. Any explanation (explaining why I specifically need the forceware driver or whatever knowledge about drivers) would be nice. Thanks.
