Why are SYS_VIN_HV and SYS_VIN_MV power seperated?

Hello, nvidia team

I’m a firmware beginner. i’m reading agx xavier datasheet.
But i’m wondering about two things.

First of all, Why are SYS_VIN_HV and SYS_VIN_MV power seperated?
I mean, it is impossible with just one input power? (the input is SYS_VIN_HV + SYS_VIN_MV.)
If i don’t need the functions of SYS_VIN_MV, Should i remove it?

Second, what means VDD_CV?
Does cv mean a computer?

Appreciate your help.
BR.

HV and MV is different on the voltage level. VDD_CV is for some cores of SoC. No need to care about it for custom design.

Yes. i know HV : 9~20V and MV : 5V.

But Why did you divide the input into two?

As you can see in the table, HV and MV will go into different PMU/switch, there are different requests for them.

Thank for your reply.
