Why do I need access to NGC for running Riva locally using A30 or similar?

This is to understand regarding the need of NGC to run RIVA locally on NVIDIA A30, when we do get access to NGC, does it send speech or translated data to NGC ?

As NGC is listed as pre-requisite for RIVA.

Once you up for ngc, on the top right of the page you have a Setup link that has instructions on installing the CLI and obtaining your API Key. I believe it’s needed only for pulling images and RMIRs. You can store them locally or persist your triton model repo. See config.sh
