Why timestamps file is not created for lidars although it is created for cameras in the same record?

In our prototype, we record frames with cameras and lidars using “record qtui”.
Timestamp files are created with lraw data for our cameras during the record, however, timestamp files are not created for lidars in the same record, why?

For images/video the timestamps are recorded in separate files. however, for other sensors it is simpler to save the timestamp alongside each data record that was recorded from the LiDAR sensor, so no external files are needed to save the timestamp.
Timestamps are global for all recorded sources, to they don’t have to be located at the same file for synchronization on playback.
