Will CUDA Work On a Mac Pro Virtualised with an external Nvidia graphics Card via Thunberbold

have bullet pointed my question to make it easier to understand.

I want to install Driveworks on development / host machine and not always be running it on the PX2.

  • I have a Mac Pro and these come with AMD Graphic cards.
  • I can install Ubuntu and Driveworks on the Machine using VMware Fusion.
  • Cuda needs an NVIDIA graphics card,
  • There are several products offering NVIDAI external graphics cards

If I bought an external graphics card and plugged it into the Mac Pro via Thunderbolt, will Cuda and driveworks with the setup as described above?

Keen to hear your thoughts
