Window corruption/DE crash on external monitor (USB-C) after 550

At some point, the more recent driver versions began having me see weird display glitches (possibly related to some GL stuff) on my external monitor. This includes the most recent 570.124.06.

In effect, I have had to revert to version 550.144.03.

Most notable is the Ghostty terminal emulator - the window is completely blank, pressing the window close button takes a while before an option to force termination occurs. If I do so, without first moving the window to the built-in monitor, my desktop environment crashes.

Oddness/blank windows have been seen with Chromuim, Libvirt-manager and others as well, though, ruling out a Ghostty-specific bug.

Earlier versions of at least some of the newer driver did not, actually, produce this effect.

Probably worth pointing out explicitly, although it must also figure from the bug report files, is that the internal monitor is ~4K, but in a 16:10 format, whereas the external one is a regular 16:9 4K one.
