The repeated attempts to power-up the WiFi, manifests lag in the system. Use these commands to disable until we issue the fix:

$ sudo mv /lib/firmware/brcm /lib/firmware/brcm_
$ sudo reboot

I’m getting the ‘mmc1: Data CRC error’ S/N: 0324515042253.

Disabling the repeated attempts to power-up the WiFi as suggested has stopped the noticeable lag on the TX1.

Any ETA on when we can expect a fix?

It sounds like you are experiencing the issue too, you get the repeating Data CRC error from dmesg too? Aside from the symptom of WiFi not powering up, the dmesg kernel log may contain repeating “mmc1: Data CRC error” followed by register dump. Below is the full block of repeating output.

I am also having the issue however I ran the wifi-config-check script and it said it was inconclusive.

We are also having the same issue.

The sudo mv /lib/firmware/brcm /lib/firmware/brcm_ did work as a temporary fix, obviously wifi doesn’t work now, but we can at least use terminal now.

Please go to https://developer.nvidia.com/embedded/support to download and run the wifi-config-check tool to find out whether you need to request a replacement developer kit via the RMA Process. During the RMA, they will send you a replacement Jetson TX1 devkit in advance.
