With lt6911c Orin N custom board, only the green screen can be captured

  1. Looks like the the NX_no2 get 3 frames then hit the “PHY_INTR0 phy:0 cil:0 st:0 vc:0 status:0x00000110” and failed after that.
    The message tell the FIFO overloaded. Maybe confirm by boost the clocks by previous comment.

  2. Both of the device have CHANSEL_NOMATCH that could be the sensor output embedded data but device tree didn’t define correctly or sensor output some user define data cause that.

We can’t test until new module arrives. There may be some delay in feedback on progress after that.

I am not sure if one needs to flash the firmware to the lt6911 on a brand new board. The bridge could be flashed separately using the I2C interface with a HW tool to connect the chip to the PC on which there’s SW tool running.

Alternatively, I am not sure if the driver of lt6911 could also handle the firmware flashing/update itself like this : Debian Sid Gnome does not boot into Desktop - #2 by l4es - Qualcomm RB5 - 96Boards Forum

The current problem is that one of the core boards, Orin_NX_no2, does not work properly.

We have purchased a new core board (Orin_NX_no3) which can also capture video properly. I’m inclined to think that Orin_NX_no2 CSI or VI is problematic. We have other new core boards that have not arrived yet, and I will give feedback on the new test situation here.

We got a new Orin nx core board (Orin_NX_no4), and after running gst-launch-1.0 for a while, we had the same problem as the no2 core board.

But when I flash this firmware to the no3 core board, no3 could not capture the video.

Where can I get these different versions of firmware? Is the camera firmware open source?

It’s not open source.
It’s better to check by imx219/imx477 reference sensor to confirm if modules problem.

There’s CHANSEL_SHORT_FRAME in the trace that tell the sensor output less lines than expected. Try modify the xxx_set_exposure() as fixed exposure to try.

I haven’t used the imx219 to test the module functionality, it hasn’t arrived yet.
Still using the lt6911c, an HDMI to MIPI chip with no exposure configuration.

The CHANSEL_SHORT_FRAME doesn’t matter with the exposure.
It’s relative the output size that driver reported.

So how do I fix it?

In addition, among the two modules I tested, one (serial number: 1423623008531) can capture video stably using JP5.1.2, while the another (serial number: 1424723039800) needs JP5.1.3 to work stably.
Is there any problem in hardware and firmware matching?

Could you try set the pix_clk_hz less than 375000000

Do you mean the serial number: 1423623008531 have problem on J5.1.3?
Could you try reboot the device and have below command then start checking the stability.

But now the serial number: 1423623008531 has been capturing video steadily after boost the clocks.

However the serial number: 1424723039800 module can work stably when the clock are not raised, and the video preview will get stuck after the clocks are raised.

1.Do these different behaviors seem to be related to the batch of the module?
2.How to parse the serial number and confirm the production information based on the serial number?

Could you verify both module with reference sensor like imx219 or imx477.
