Would Chat with RTX work using the RTX-3080 card?

Hi

I am currently using a GeForce RTX 2070 and haven’t felt the need to upgrade to the RTX 30XX series, let alone the 40XX series.

However, I have recently become interested in working with AI. After learning about the straightforward installation process for Chat with RTX, I am going ahead and start working with AI.

I am considering purchasing a pre-owned RTX 3080 from eBay to start experimenting with Chat with RTX. Can anyone confirm if Chat with RTX is compatible with the RTX-3080 card? It’s worth noting that the RTX-3080 is an Ampere GPU but has 10GB of memory.

I am using a 3070, slow as molasses (I am sure NewEgg can solve this for me) but it works fine. Just be careful with your initial data set, if it is too large and you may be there for days.

Thank you for your prompt response and for the warning. I found that the performance difference between the 3070 and the 3080 is only about 11%, so I should not expect a significant speed boost from molasses! :^)
