Xavier Nx Power Down Sequencing

I’m designing a carrier board for the Xavier Nx. Our design will include an overcurrent power switch to disable power to the module if an overcurrent is detected. Is 15W the maximum peak power including any transients?
Additionally if an overcurrent is triggered and VDD_IN decays rapidly, it wouldn’t be possible to meet Figure 5-4 of the design guide as VDD_IN will decay before SHUTDOWN_REQ* can be serviced. Is this an issue, and if so, how do we mitigate this?

Hi, you can take the absolute maximum rating in module datasheet as the limit: VDD_IN Imax is 5A.

Figure 5-4 is for Sudden Power Loss which is similar to your OC protection case.

Thanks for the response. However, with the sudden power loss due to overcurrent protection, VDD_IN will decay before SHUTDOWN_REQ* can be serviced. Is this an issue?.

SHUTDOWN_REQ is triggered by VDD_IN drop, do you mean VDD_IN will drop too fast? There should be enough capacitors on board to hold VDD_IN long enough.
