I am developing a vision based rapid sorting machine and the test machine is very compact and tight on space. I have 22.5 volts available. It seems to me the NX has a TPS53015 for the input voltage, the data sheet says “Wide input voltage 4.5 V to 28 V”.

Is 22.5v going to kill the NX? or more specifically, what causes the 20v limitation on the developer board?

That is for devkit as there are many other components on VDD_DCIN net, not only TPS53015. Please follow the option as requested in guide.
