Xorg 1.19 after some time fails to acquire modesetting

Hi,

A month ago I’ve updated world in Gentoo and noticed weird behavior of my Nvidia card.
Right after reboot everything works fine: Nvidia’s modules are loaded; I can play with PL; I see that perf is good on benchs etc.
However, after some time (up to several days w/o shutdown) Xorg cannot correctly reacquire modesetting:

[ 90.680] (EE) NVIDIA(GPU-0): Failed to acquire modesetting permission.
[ 90.680] (EE) NVIDIA(0): Failing initialization of X screen 0

Any ideas what is wrong with my conf ?

The logs with that error are old logs from august. The only error in your current logs are XID 31. I suspect you’re using KDE/KWin, see:

Yes, I’m using KDE.

That is sad :( as a user I hope it’ll be fixed soon.
