Hello everyone,
I am exploring the application of AI in medical imaging workflows, specifically in the context of DIEP flap breast reconstruction surgery planning. This procedure requires highly precise visualization of perforator vessels, abdominal tissue mapping, and surgical planning based on CT angiography or MRI data.
I am interested in understanding how the MONAI framework can be leveraged for segmentation and vessel detection tasks in such reconstructive surgery cases. Since MONAI is widely used for deep learning in healthcare imaging, I believe it could potentially help improve pre-surgical planning accuracy and reduce manual radiology workload.
Has anyone here worked on similar use cases involving:
- Vascular segmentation
- Breast reconstruction planning datasets
- or surgical imaging pipelines using MONAI?
Any guidance, sample workflows, or references would be highly appreciated.
