Earlier, Some1 wrote a PTX to CELL translator (Gregory Diamos?). So, I think NVIDIA will write a PTX to x86 translator and run CUDA on larrabee… Hoooooooooooooo…
In fact, thats a great thing about nVIDIA compared to Intel – If u have ever tried to write hand-written optimized code for intel, you would know that you need to write one for every new micro-architecture that is coming in… Thats a PAIN. NVIDIA is well ahead in that area… Intel is trying to catch up with that. (is what I learn from Intel forums) with their CT technology and acquisitiion of Rapidmind…
