NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 or ATI Radeon HD 4870 Which is stronger

I need some suggestion on which one I should buy… Im an architecture major and use Rhino, Maya, Revit and Autocad 3D Modeling programs…

NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 with 2 Quad Cores or ATI Radeon HD 4870 with just Quad Core?

Which one is worth the money since people don’t seem to give good reviews on NVIDIA.??

Any Suggestions?

Thanks, Serg

If you want to use CUDA technology, or OpenCL Technology, you are limited to nVidia’s GPU, at the time of this writing.

Maybe ATI will implement OpenCL compatibility, but I seriously doubt that people will be able to run the same set of program that were developped for CUDA, due to ATI GPU architecture, that is less GPGPU-oriented, and far more dedicated for 3D rendition pipeline.

So if you don’t care CUDA or OpenCL, you may go for ATI.
But if you want to invest on the future, at this time, only nVidia support OpenCL with driver availability and offers a stable perforing architecture for GPGPU.

For myself, I will go for a GT130 or more
