Easy, Effective, Efficient: GPU Programming in Python with PyOpenCL and PyCUDA by Andreas Klöckner

Easy, Effective, Efficient: GPU Programming in Python with PyOpenCL and PyCUDA by Andreas Klöckner (8th Sept 2011)

GPU supercomputing is being used more and more in finance, including backtesting for algorithmic trading and HFT. If you are working with big data sets and big computation, and need speed (x10, x100 … speedups), GPUs are worth taking a look at. Time is money, as they say; and nowhere is that more true than in finance. And GPUs are all about speed; getting answers quicker.

The meetup on the 8th September has a couple of great speakers and we’re expecting about 100 GPU practitioners to show up. If you are based in New York city, this is a great opportunity to meet and network with practicing GPU programmers.

GPU supercomputing is going to be in your future. Live with it!
