Summary
Launching an application in Nsight may not inherit environment variables set inside of the Command Prompt window or other application.
Known Causes
The Nsight Monitor launches with elevated Administrator privileges. Therefore, it will only inherit environment variables that are set from an application with the same privileges.
Solution
The user must exit the Nsight Monitor by right clicking on its Tray Icon and selecting “Exit”. Launch the Command Prompt or application that sets environment variables with Administrator privileges. This is typically done by typing the name of the application (i.e. Command Prompt) into the Windows Start Menu search, then right click on the application, and then select “Run as Administrator”. Once the environment variables are set, launch the Nsight Monitor.
