Error when trying to capture from IMX219 (Pi Camera v2) on fresh JetPack 5.1.2 install

Has anyone here been able to use a fresh rpi camera v2 on a Jetson Orin Nano?

I am running a 15pin to 22pin connector to CAM0 on my Orin Nano dev kit, with a fresh JetPack 5.1.2 install.

When running nvgstcapture-1.0, I get:

Encoder null, cannot set bitrate!

Codec not supported. Falling back to opensrc H264 encoder

Could this be a hardware issue?

Hi,
RPi camera v2 is enabled by default. Please try the command:

$ gst-launch-1.0 nvarguscamerasrc ! fakesink

Hi @DaneLLL

When I run this command, I sometimes get:

did you configure the environment setting? for instance, $ export DISPLAY=:0
please also execute $ xrandr to dump the display configuration for reference.

Welp, looks like I fixed it by reseating the FFC cable. Thanks for all the help!
