GPU Power State Issues

Greetings to all who may read this.

I don’t know if this is the proper place to put this, but that being said I am having an issue with my GPU with the power states.

It started out when I decided to overclock my GPU to get more life out of it before I needed to replace it. For some reason the memory overclock wouldn’t save in both MSI Afterburner and EVGA Precision so I did some research and eventually found out that my GPU was stuck in P2 mode where it should be in P0 mode.

I am running Windows 10, the GPU is a EVGA GTX 980 Classified ACX 2.0 4GB. I have tried making use of the nvidia inspector, the nvidia-sim via CMD and of course, Precision and Afterburner.

If anyone has any advice on how to resolve this issue so that I can get my GPU back to normal, please let me know.

Thank you for your time reading this, regardless.

Update: I think I may have fixed it by accident somehow. Not entirely sure what I did, but it’s working properly now.
