High resolution modes not available on Ubuntu 19.10 with GeForce GT 610

OS: Ubuntu 19.10
OS type: 64-bit
CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40GHz × 4
GPU: GF119 [GeForce GT 610]
Kernel: 5.3.0-24-generic
Monitor: Philips 272C4 resolution 2560x1440, connected through HDMI

I would like to benefit from the native resolution from my monitor, but unfortunately display settings does not provide a higher mode than 1920x1080. Additional drivers are installed. Switching from nvidia-driver-390 to nvidia-30 or Nouveau display driver didn’t help.

Any help is appreciated.

Kind regards,
Henk Schaap

Don’t take my words for it, but taking a glance at the 610, I’m not sure it even supports 1440p over HDMI.
Have you tried connecting the monitor with a DVI cable instead?
