If you don’t see mlx5_X in tcpdump -D, your libpcap doesn’t support RDMA or the driver is not loaded. The latter should be ok according to the screenshot. Please try to rebuild the libpcap and tcpdump.

thanks @nhashimoto I guess that it need parameter pdump_client_thread to use pdump app to dump the fronthual traffic. Since the fronthaul is DPDK traffic, bypassing the kernel, the tcpdump might can’t capture the traffic. and I still can’t find the parameter the pcap file to about 200 bytes.

You need to specify mlx5_0 instead of aerial00, as the document describes below. For MLNX_OFED v5.1 and above, run: # tcpdump -i mlx5_1 -s 65535 -w rdma_traffic.pcap
