AI Infrastructure and Operations Fundamentals – Looking for Feedback from Others Who Took the Exam

Hi everyone,

I recently completed the NVIDIA AI Infrastructure and Operations Fundamentals course and attempted the certification exam through Certiverse.

I’d like to hear from others who have taken the exam and learn about your experience.

For context, I successfully completed all of the course knowledge checks and passed the official practice exam. Going into the certification, I felt reasonably confident that I understood the material covered throughout the training.

However, I found the actual certification exam significantly more challenging than expected. It wasn’t simply a matter of difficulty—the exam felt somewhat disconnected from the depth and level of detail presented in the course material. Several questions seemed to require knowledge that was either only briefly mentioned or not emphasized as a key learning objective during the training.

I’m curious whether others had a similar experience:

  • Did you feel the exam was well aligned with the course content?
  • Were there additional NVIDIA documents, whitepapers, or resources that helped you prepare?
  • Are there specific areas you would recommend studying more deeply before a second attempt?
  • Did you find other NVIDIA training materials that filled the gaps?

For background, I work professionally in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, DevOps, and platform engineering, so I wasn’t approaching the certification as a complete beginner. That’s part of why I was surprised by the difference between my performance on the course assessments and the actual certification exam.

I still found the course valuable and plan to use my second attempt, but I’d appreciate any advice from those who have successfully passed or who felt particularly well prepared going into the exam.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences and recommendations.

Hey gabriel,
I am glad I am not the only one, I felt as though even the study guide and unit summaries didn’t even come close to the sheer depth the exam covered. Please let me know if you found any other resources or help from NVIDIA regarding this. I have 5 more attempts thankfully. But hopefully NVIDIA can help us out here.

Hey bullminer, the 5 attempts are paid BTW, which innocently thought in the beginning that you could retry the exam paying only once but is not the case. The overall experience so far with the course + exam is pretty bad, why would you put a course together and make it the “official” if then you need to pay extra for non-official side courses or even exam tests to prepare? Makes no sense. I requested a voucher in a way to compensate for the inconvenience, as this is clearly a problem on their side not ensuring content matches exam expectations but of course had no resolution on it, just a random message redirecting me to webinars which often share discounts. I honestly felt completely discouraged/unmotivated to pass the exam after this. Just because I payed, now I’m commited to get this certification but I’d not recommend neither I’ll continue the cert path with Nvidia, is just nonsense.

On the side I’m preparing myself with practice exams and some udemy courses. For practice exams exam-topics works well otherwise you have plently of options.

Good luck on this path and hopefully I hear you passed it in some weeks :)

I appreciate you reaching out!

That is utterly terrible news. I never even thought that would be right. But woah, thats ridiculous. Been trying to find the best places to find the info i need to study. If you have any recommendations. I messaged NVIDIA and they pointed to the exam blue print… despite me even saying I studied from their so-called blueprint, study guide, course unit summaries..

Terrible..

Have you found any good material?
