Need Help to get CUDA running with c++

Hello there,

I’m trying to code with CUDA but its a bit frustrating. Tried many things and different versions of cuda, but I always run into the following error: “no kernel image is available for execution on the device”.

After some research I figured out, that it could be the compute capability.
And I’ve read some stuff about executing the deviceQuery.exe within the CUDA samples.

And here’s the Result:
[i]
C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\CUDA Samples\v10.1\1_Utilities\deviceQuery../…/bin/win64/Debug/deviceQuery.exe Starting…

Sadly, all this dont say me anything. Is there something wrong with the graphic card?

There is nothing wrong with your graphics card. “no kernel image…” means that the code you are trying to run was compiled for a compute capability that does not match your device. Recompile your code with appropriate settings. You appear to be on windows, so this would usually mean adjusting some settings in your visual studio project. You can find descriptions of this on the web. Or study a CUDA sample project (other than deviceQuery), such as vectorAdd.
