NIM API Credits

I am trying to participate in the NVIDIA LLamaIndex Contest but I am not able to get additional credits on my account. Is there a way to fix this.

Hello @surajsomc,

The NVIDIA API catalog is a trial experience of NVIDIA NIM limited to 5000 free API credits. Upon sign-up, users are granted 1000 API credits. To obtain more, click on your profile from within the API catalog → ‘Request More’. If you signed up to use the API catalog with a personal email address, you will be asked to provide a business email to activate a free 90-day NVIDIA AI Enterprise license and unlock additional 4000 credits. To continue using NIM after you’ve used up your credits, you have these options:

  1. Self-host the API on your cloud provider or on-prem. Research and test use is free under the ‘NVIDIA Developer Program’ access. Please note that your organization must have an NVIDIA AI Enterprise license for production use.
  2. Use serverless NIM API on Hugging Face with per-pay-use pricing. The NVIDIA AI Enterprise license is included with this option so you don’t need a separate license.

Hello @TomNVIDIA,

I saw that I had 0 API credits despite not having used any yet after signing up. I also do not see any “Request More” button. May I please receive some assistance on this? Thank you.

Hi @pkpaing,

It is possible that the display of credits is not working properly.
Please try and use the API endpoint to see if it’s working.
Let us know how it goes for you.

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom, I cannot see the “Request More” option in my account and I don’t have more credits. What can I do? Thanks

Hi @claudia.garmendia

Hello!

I’m using an enterprise e-mail (ejberrio@celsia.com) but I’m not able to request more credits. At the begining I only got 1000 credits to use NIM. Is there any posibility to get +4000 credits to my accout. We want to test some NIMs to chech if we can justify using our own GPU infrastructure in Azure.

Thank you so much.

Hi @ejberrio,

To obtain more, click on your profile from within the API catalog → ‘Request More’.

Hi @TomNVIDIA I already signup and didn’t get any credits. Already request more but its still same.

When I try hit some api get response :
{“status”:402,“title”:“Payment Required”,“detail”:“Account ‘’: Cloud credits expired - Please contact NVIDIA representatives”}

Hi @gilas.amalanda,

Unfortunately I don’t have access to your account. I have forwarded your issue to the NIM team for investigation.

Tom

Hey!

The credits might’ve taken some time to appear - were you able to receive the credits? If not, I can follow up with the NIM team!

Hi @calexiuk ,

My account (josephkuruvillamathew) was having around 4900 credit points till last week, and the 90 day period was not over yet, but now I can see 0 credit to my account. I was trying something, and suddenly its shows 0 credits and not able to proceed. I was working through Nvidia AI Workbench

Can you please support /guide me?

Thanks,
Joseph

Can you confirm that you didn’t use the credits?

Depending on the volume of usage credits can be consumed rather quickly.

Thanks,
Chris

Yes, I confirm that I did not used the full credits, and till one week back (18th Nov, last used) it was around 4900+ and sure that 90 day period is not over yet.

Please support to enable the same atleast another 10 more days.

Hi Chris,

Really appreciate your support here, I am working on a prototype.

Thanks,
Joseph Mathew

Hi @TomNVIDIA @calexiuk ,
Sorry to interrupt in between the chat, but I have the same issue. I have signed up and can see 5000 credits, however when I try to use ‘meta/llama-3.3-70b-instruct’ it shows me the below error:

openai.APIStatusError: Error code: 402 - {‘status’: 402, ‘title’: ‘Payment Required’, ‘detail’: “Account ‘XXX’: Cloud credits expired - Please contact NVIDIA representatives”}

FYI I consumed my previous credits and now signed up using a separate account. Please help

Hi @TomNVIDIA @calexiuk
I also got the exact same error 402 as ravi.khatri when I tried to use llama-3.3-70b-instruct. I just signed up today, so I haven’t used any credit yet.

Hello,

I had created an account in Nvidia NGC to access Nvidia NIM. The free account is supposed to have 1000 free credits to access NIM endpoints.

I had not used those free credits but the account says I have 0 credits now.

Could you please provide free credits as I am an individual trying to do some POCs for practice and cannot afford to pay for usage of hosted NIMs.

How many free credits are used up for a single NIM endpoint hit?
