The output from ib_write_bw is below:

I am not sure what “Data ex. method” means here. I think the cluster on which ib_write_bw was run is complete infiniband. Then where does this “Data ex. method: Ethernet” come from?

Hi Yue,

When testing RDMA the initial connection establishment is done via Ethernet (the assignment of IP address to the remote server port).

The traffic itself will go thought the IB ports.
