I am writing to request a rate limit increase for my NVIDIA NIM API account.
Account Details:

- Current Limit: 40 RPM
- Requested Limit: 200 RPM, or the next available higher tier for individual developer use
Project / Workflow:
I am using NVIDIA NIM API for personal development and non-production testing of agentic coding workflows. My main use case is integrating LLM APIs with local developer tools such as Hermes, coding agents, and repository-level assistants for a medical education / quiz system project.
The workflow involves:
- Repository navigation and code understanding
- Multi-file editing and refactoring
- Test generation and debugging
- Tool-calling / agent loop experiments
- Comparing different NIM-hosted models for coding and reasoning tasks
Why 40 RPM Is Not Enough:
The default 40 RPM limit often triggers 429 Too Many Requests errors during normal agentic workflows, even when I apply request throttling, retries, and exponential backoff. These tools naturally make multiple small sequential requests during planning, editing, validation, and summarization.
A 200 RPM limit would make development and testing much smoother without using the service for production traffic.
Usage Scope:
- Personal development only
- Non-production use
- No public-facing commercial service
- I can keep concurrency controlled and continue using backoff/retry logic
