RTX-A2000 - scrambled screen on boot XID: 31, 62, 122, 123

I just got a RTX-A2000, installed it into a HP Elite 800 G4 SFF machine. Was initially able to boot into Windows, but after Windows detected and install the driver, Windows crashed
with scrambled screen. I cannot boot into Windows unless safe mode or I remove the driver. When I boot with the driver installed, the screen will eventually become scrambled/distorted
during the boot process and then the machine will crash and reboot.

Tried on linux. Same issue, below are logs from linux.

Any ideas on what is going on and how I can get this card to work.

Any reason why you’re using the 515.48.07 driver? Looks like 525.60.11 is the current production driver.

Also, an XID 62 isn’t generally a good sign. XID Errors :: GPU Deployment and Management Documentation

It is what comes with the dist I was testing with.

Could the errors be due to low power? The machine only has a 240 watt power supply. I thought it could handle the A2000.

I’m not sure but I think verifying your PSU can supply the GPU is a good first step.

A 200w PSU seems pretty low.

I tried in another machine that has a 1080ti, not sure of PS wattage but should be pretty beefy. Card failed in that machine too. Seems like its broken, ordered a new one and sending old one back for refund.

People online say they are able to run a 1650 LP which is also 75 watts in same machine as me. Hope everything works when I get replacement part.

Thanks for your help Jacon83

The A2000 is bus-powered only so it should work in any system. It’s correct to send it back since it’s most likely broken.
