I’ve actually fixed the issue by installing the cuda drivers
sudo apt-get install cuda-drivers-535

Thanks for the info. Usually this kind of error can be fixed after reinstalling the nvidia-driver again.

sudo apt purge nvidia-driver-535
sudo apt autoremove
sudo apt autoclean
sudo apt install nvidia-driver-535
