The inference request is accepted, but I consistently receive: API Error 504 (Gateway Timeout)

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working with the NVIDIA CorrDiff NIM API and running into a persistent issue that I’m hoping someone here can help clarify.

I’m using the official reference from:
https://build.nvidia.com/nvidia/corrdiff?snippet_tab=Python

Context

  • I have a valid NGC API key (confirmed working for authentication)

  • My pipeline successfully:

    • Fetches GRIB data

    • Sends inference request to CorrDiff NIM

Issue

The inference request is accepted, but I consistently receive:

API Error 504 (Gateway Timeout)

What I’ve verified

  • Authentication is working (no 401/403 errors)

  • Endpoint is reachable

  • Payload format has been adjusted (moved away from invalid 400 errors earlier)

  • Input tensor shape: (1, 14, 121, 121)

  • Using async request pattern with polling
