Hi All, We are trying to repro this issue internally but no luck as of now. Can you please provide detailed repro steps, command, options, player etc. used to hit this issue? Can you please share video clip you are testing with? Also VLC player version , settings ? FFMPEG version used? What GPU used? The nvidia bug report logs file.
Any update about requested info. in comment #21?
This is my hardware:
Intel kabylake 7400
gigabyte z170x gaming 7
8GB ram
Geforce 1050
My operating system: LibreELEC 8.2.3
This is the project page.
When playing any material that is recorded with encoding: H.265/HEVC the video is jerking. During this time, my processor is running at 100%, because the geforce 1050 does not provide hardware support.
KODI developers (LibreELEC) are only able to use VDPAU, and NVIDIA does not want to develop it.
I will say that when I play every H.265 / HEVC movie on the integrated graphics of my intel kabylake, all movies go smoothly because intel develops VAAPI.
Hi tomaszkowalczyk1986, Your bug/issue is different. Please start new thread with reproduce steps, nvidia bug report, dmidecode outpt, player and version you are running, sample video clip etc. Did you see exact same issue on any other Linux flavor?
We have investigated this issue. vlc-2.2.6 able to see it fails to decode but succeeds in vlc-4.0.0. So please use latest VLC player.
