I think for smoke testing they use some synthetical tests
using real 3rtd party SW for automated tests is pretty problematic

On 555 Unreal engine crashes after running for some time. Now it crashes immediately after launch.
Games running on proton are not working at all.
Reverting back to 555.

Causing weird issues in firefox for me. Notice the missing āeā in the title, and missing buttons to the left of the URL bar.

Still completely unusable on my laptop (GTX 1060) as I still get kernel panics. I even wonder if Nvidia tests the proprietary kernel driver. That critical issue is there since March in 550 drivers and is still not resolved in 560 drivers (4 months later).

This did happen in 555 for me as well and only with MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=0 set. A workaround would be to create a new window and move all your tabs to that new window. I think the wayland crash is fixed in Firefox nightly based on the discussion here https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1898476

Okay, so it seems that Games do launch on X11 but not on wayland.
Removing the new icd file, seems also not to help for wayland.
Here I have some logs, when launching Palworld and Rocket League.

Might be related then to kwin?
@abchauhan Maybe you should investigate why 560 GBM is non functional, 555 GBM works ok.
I donāt think I missed any files in the packaging.
Acknowledged proton games crash issues reported by multiple users.
We will replicate issue locally and debug.

Looks like issues come from a broken installation since some distros ignore those libs provided by the installer and install them from git

Doesnāt work for me in gentoo. Guess some distros fixed their packages. Some might still be broken.

An even easier way to get that error for me is to run eglinfo (redirect stdout to /dev/null to only get the error in question). Apparently, it makes OpenGL applications fall back to Zink.
However, since Iām using AUR packages, and those werenāt fully updated to include new files, it might be an issue with them, rather than the driver. Iāve switched to egl-wayland-git to rule out that as the possible cause, though.
EDIT: apparently, this error still happens on 555 (both closed and open source) drivers. However, eglgears_wayland do not render with transparent background. Iāll stick to 555 drivers at least until packaging issue is fully sorted out.
Looks like you have a broken installation too. eglinfo should print EGL vendor string: NVIDIA. Yours seem to use mesa.
Iāve just pushed nvidia-drivers-560.28.03-r1 which now uses bundled egl-gbm (unfortunate source on github seems to be outdated) and briefly tried Plasma 6.1.3 with wayland and it āseemsā okay now (mileage may vary). egl-wayland-1.1.14 is still masked albeit source-built 1.1.13 seems to work for me.
(for the record, 560.28.03 is being treated as a opt-in for-testers-only beta in Gentoo, so it hasnāt been tested much before update given regular users wonāt get it ā sorry about that still)
