Multi Monitor VRR :D ?

Has anyone confirmed it’s not in? (NVBug 4545537)

Edit: It’s not in😔

so we where told VRR multimonitor was fixed and i was wondering is it apart of 565? i can’t install the drivers right now due to missing open-gpu-kernel-modules branch missing on github

is it safe do update over ppa 560 version or should I purge ppa version 1st?

I will test when I get home, but it not being in the change log doesn’t make me hopeful.

AFAIK, VRR is not fixed. Setting it to always in KDE makes the mouse pointer stutter like before.

For what it’s worth, there is zero point to using always over automatic in my experience. Even Windows uses automatic behavior.

True, I dumped 565 because of this:

Multi-GPU (1 monitor connected on each) still not working Using two NVIDIA GPUs monitor ok in the first gpu, one is always black on second gpu. ( Although shows the mouse cursor ok)

565.57.01 - Changelog:

Fixed a bug that could cause suspend/resume to fail when using the NVreg_PreserveVideoMemoryAllocations option: https://github.com/NVIDIA/open-gpu-kernel-modules/issues/472

Fixed a bug that caused the cursor image to be truncated on Gamescope: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/gamescope/issues/1099

Re-enabled GLX_EXT_buffer_age on Xwayland. This extension had been previously disabled on Xwayland due to a bug which is now fixed.

Added support for mmap of exported DMA-BUF objects.

Reduced some cases of stutter with OpenGL syncing to vblank while using GSP firmware.

Fixed a regression that could cause some applications to exit due to resource exhaustion on some GPUs while using GSP firmware.

Added several new per-plane and per-CRTC vendor-specific properties to nvidia-drm. These properties may be used by Wayland compositors to program the GPU's color pipeline for HDR hardware acceleration.

Introduced a driver optimization to mitigate the performance loss from the 'd3d9.floatEmulation' option in DXVK.

Fixed a bug that caused FarCry 5 running through DXVK to display a black screen.

Updated the framelock settings page of the nvidia-settings control panel to use the GTK3 theme text color rather than defaulting to white for the text color, improving legibility with some themes.

Fixed some performance regressions that were observed with Vkd3d 2.9.

Fixed a bug that could cause flickering in some applications when using Unified Back Buffer (UBB).

Fixed a bug which could cause incorrect and/or washed out colors to be displayed with HDR scanout: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=482780

Implemented support for VK_EXT_depth_clamp_control.

Fixed a bug which could cause applications using GBM to crash when running with nvidia-drm.modeset=0.

Fixed a bug that could cause kernel crashes upon attempting KMS operations through DRM when nvidia_drm was loaded with modeset=0.

No information about fixing the video memory leak, no information about linux 6.12 support, no information about performance enhancement in dx 12, except for the vague wording “Fixed some performance regressions that were observed with Vkd3d 2.9.”
Sounds sad to me.

just tested 565, gamescope mouse cursor being cut off is fixed, however wayland native osu!lazer still crashes under vulkan renderer, and gamescope minecraft 1.8.9 still has quite intense flickering

seems like dx12 is performing better now .

Thanks for the report. I have a fix for this issue that will release in the next 565 build as well as the next developer beta branch build.

HDR with the Gamescope DRM backend is still unusable due to flickering and flashing, not sure if it was ever picked up for an internal NV bug report: Display modes above 2560x1440p@120hz with HDR enabled cause flickering/corruption within gamescope-session

Tested four different displays with all connection types I could think of, including a laptop internal display, and all seem to have this issue.

First time poster here. The absence of Multi Monitor VRR still saddens me, and I’m wondering if there was any progress made on the matter?

Hopefully they fix it with the next driver…

You’ve had a version of my software since May 15th and still can’t fix the GSP bug?

Xorg works fine…
