I’m looking for guide about how to setup DPDK based ASAP2 Flex vSwitch Acceleration on OpenStack environment for having VXLAN offload capability without sacrificing live migration capability like on SR-IOV based ASAP2 Direct Full vSwitch Offload (please inform if I’m wrong about this). Assume that every node has ConnectX-5 EN NIC.
On my understanding, OVS has two types of offload, using TC Flower (kernel) or using RTE Flow (DPDK), both are supported by ConnectX-5 EN. Am I right? If both are supported, do you have performance comparison between both, especially on VXLAN encap/decap offload?
The integration with OpenStack is not done by Mellanox but by Cloud Solution like RH RedHat Open Stack Platform and so for now we don’t have a solution included ASAP2 Flex and a guide to provide for his configuration into OpenStack
BTW, for SRIOV and live migration, the feature is under development and must be release around April.
