I have OpenCV “4.2.0-dev”

I got this error ;

There are very few modules in the under section.(For example, there is not “ximgproc”.)

Also when I run this command ;
pip3 install opencv-contrib-python

I got this result;

Defaulting to user installation because normal site-packages is not writeable
ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement opencv-contrib-python (from versions: none)
ERROR: No matching distribution found for opencv-contrib-python

I don’t know why I got such an error.

I think you should build it from source. Those pre-built lib is not release by us so may not help.

I just updated it to 4.2.0

It should build the “ximgproc” module.

edit: You may wish to configure a swap file first, since OpenCV is known to sometimes fail building on Nano without one.

I couldn’t find it googling last night, but I wanted to add it here in case anybody wants an alternative build script, there is this one for OpenCv 4.1.1 from AastaNV of Nvidia:

I already have built it from source.

I was getting the same error when I installed the jetpack. (At that time there was OpenCV 3.3.0)

Please be aware that you have to enable the missing package when trying to build from source.

You could refer to @mdegans’s patch here.

Also, when you try to download/install anything from pip or apt-get, you have to understand that they are all pre-built library and may not have the module you want.

If you have any further questions about openCV, maybe it is also a good option to file a topic on opencv forum.

Also I installed it with “sudo apt install python-opencv”. This time OpenCV 3.2.0 was installed.

But again I got the same error.
