When I try:

v4l2-ctl --list-devices

I get:

vi-output, imx219 7-0010 (platform:54080000.vi:0):
        /dev/video0

So there is some kind of problem with the pipeline, but I have no clue what that means.
I want to capture and save an image, (using “j” when in the camera program), and download and view that image using winSCP (because I have to figure out how to use -Y or whatever).

Have below command before run the nvgstcapture.

exporrt DISPLAY=:0

tried that as well, no result. Does “export” need to be “exporrt” (double r) or did you make a typo :)

Right it’s export
