I think just a mention of “courtesy: NVIDIA Prog guide” would do… Its just my personal view…

I believe that “Just cite the source” has been the response from various NVIDIA folks in the past for academic use. If you want to sell a book, then the lawyers might want more than that.

I agree. As long as you aren’t seeking monetary gain from their figures, and cite the source, you should have no trouble. The latter is an academic requirement as well.
