CUDA SDK Browser 0xc0000135 CUDA SDK Browser fails to open

I have just installed the CUDA 2.0 toolkit and SDK onto a Windows XP SP3 machine with a GTX260 graphics card. What might be some causes for a “browser.exe - Application Error” with the error “The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application”. This occurs when I try to run the NVIDIA CUDA SDK Browser.

Thanks, Dean

Update: It appears the browser was crashing due to the fact that I had my system configured incorrectly.

In the dreams of improving performance even further, I was attempting to run my monitor through a PCI video card while using the GPU on my NVIDIA card separately. As I discovered trying to run a couple simple CUDA programs, this was not working. Taking out the PCI card and running the monitor through the NVIDIA card allowed the CUDA programs to run and now allows me to open up the SDK browser.

The odd thing with all of this is the SDK program “bandwidthTest” ran fine with the monitor-through-the-PCI card configuration.? How would this program find the GPU but not other CUDA programs?

Does anyone thing trying to get the monitor to run through a separate video card is worth the time and effort?

Thanks to anyone who read my first post and tried to figure something out.

I have the same problem.

Im having the same problem running on WinXP 64bit. This is 2009 now why does this problem still occur? I have installed CUDA 2.3 drivers, sdk and toolkit. If anyone knows this issue and an NVIDIA fix for this please let me know.

hi,

Today I also install cuda 2.3, toolkit and sdk but when click sdk browser
I got the same error “The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application”

I am using windows XP 64 bit,

Nobody have any solution?

Try to install .net framework package, see how that goes.

hi,

I found the problem which is related with .NET framework.

I download .net 2.0 for XP64bit : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details…;displaylang=en
