Doom Eternal not utilizing VRAM

Nvidia driver often ( they fix them then it regresses again) has problems with applying app profiles when value in there is nvidia, which is by default is the passed value.

Doom 2016 Vulkan renderer is broken since 440 drivers ( Optimus )

Issue here is solved without changing driver. On same driver ( 460.67) i can repro the issue if i launch the game with: __NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia __VK_LAYER_NV_optimus=NVIDIA_only However if i launch the game like this: __NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __VK_LAYER_NV_optimus=NVIDIA_only __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=bla I can’t repro the issue. Issue seems to be rooted from __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia Proton 5.13-6 , Nvidia driver 460.67, Intel HD 630+GTX 10…

Low performance in DOOM Eternal

Mostly crossposting back here for better visibility since I saw the link to the other thread and the advice there helped. Apologies if it’s bad practice around these parts. The idea of setting __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=bla in launch options instead of nvidia from VulkanGuy’s post here has resolved the VRAM issue for me on my desktop.

Just Nvidia things.
