Driver issues

I am running Xubuntu 18.10 on a nvidia GeForce 720m. When I boot my pc, i see the xubuntu splash logo for a few seconds and then tty1. When I log into my profile from tty1, my screen goes black and doesn’t get fixed no matter if I press a button, move my mouse close and open the lid.

Here is a log I got from recovery - termbin.com/n32x

You have a GT 720M (GF117) so you should upgrade to the v390 nvidia driver. Please make sure gpu-manager is enabled:
sudo systemctl enable gpu-manager.service
If that doesn’t resolve the issue, please follow this:

Please run nvidia-bug-report.sh as root and attach the resulting .gz file to your post. Hovering the mouse over an existing post of yours will reveal a paperclip icon.
