Driver still in /proc/driver/nvidia/version but not in system

When I run:

cat /proc/driver/nvidia/version

It says the following driver is present.
NVRM version: NVIDIA UNIX x86_64 Kernel Module 530.30.02 Wed Feb 22 04:11:39 UTC 2023

I have run all of the commands here but no matter what I cannot remove this older driver version from the file. I think that there is in fact no driver because I cannot do nvidia-smi or similar commands there is just this remnant in the version file. How can I fix this?

rebooting the system deleted that file :)
