EMC Clock Speed stays at minimum

Hi,

I am using a Jetson Xavier NX 8GB and use the internal EMMC memory for my application. It is flashed using the A/B Partitions and the image based OTA update mechanism. When I flash the devices for this use case it works fine. But when I do the first Image based OTA update the emc clock rate stays at 204 MHz after the reboot and will ever be on this rate, no matter what. Only if I reflash it via the OTG Port I get the 1.6GHz back working.
The strange thing is also this happens just on some of my devices. On most of them it works just fine.
Any idea where the problem could come from?

Please clarify which jetpack release are you using here.

Please also clarify how did you create the image for image based OTA.

The Linux4Tegra Version is 32.6.1 and I create it doing a backup of my golden record device, move this img to the bootloader folder and call the l4t_generate_ota_package.sh script with -s.
As said this works also fine for ~6 devices. But I got 2 new one which have the correct EMC clock rate after the initial flash with “sudo ROOTFS_AB=1 ./flash.sh -r jetson-xavier-nx-devkit-emmc mmcblk0p1”. But when I do the ota update once they will stick to the minimum EMC clock speed forever.

Attached you can find the log of the boot via the serial connection. There I found “emc_init: Missing emc dt table!” and “emc_debugfs_t194_init: no EMC tables, aborting”. Looks like the error is already at this point. Any idea on how to fix it?

I guess the issue here is your jetpack release is too old.

New Xaiver NX has PCN update which has DRAM component update. New DRAM needs new memory config otherwise it would have problem.

Which would be the first Jetpack version which supports the new DRAM? The support of our carrier board supplier is unfortunately very bad in providing the needed informations to build the jetpack.
