Hi,

the code examples like the “gst-plugins/gst-dsexample” contain a NVIDIA licensing banner that states that modified derivates need to retain this license, ie. that code deriving from this samples need to be open source too.

This sounds like a really bad idea for sample code since this would mean one has to write a new Gst plugin from scratch in order to create a closed source custom element, instead of deriving the official samples.

Could the copyright banners please be changed by NVIDIA?

Hello user,

According to our EULA, you are allow to modify any code and distribute it as a binary. The licensing banner only applies if you plan to distribute the source code.

I would recommend reading the licensing term in our the EULA.
