I’ve downloaded the latest mac driver and installed on my MacBookPro. The internal graphics card has been set to: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 512 MB. Yet a quick scan with CUDA-Z reveals no CUDA compatible devices. (nvcc concurs).

I have the same setup and problem, think it is because the current Mavericks drivers 5.5.28 don’t support our card:
