Get back old kernel after new compiled kernel not booting

Did you do this?

Check this for UART log.

I tried doing exactly as the in here: reComputer J4012 | J401 | Seeed Studio Wiki

I had the message at the end:

[ 353]: l4t_flash_from_kernel: Successfully flash the external device
[ 353]: l4t_flash_from_kernel: Flashing success
[ 353]: l4t_flash_from_kernel: The device size indicated in the partition layout xml is smaller than the actual size. This utility will try to fix the GPT.
Flash is successful
Reboot device
Cleaning up...

Tried to reboot the Jetson, same, I have the initial Nvidia screen, but then goes dark, and the screen even shuts down (‘No signal’).

Btw, it’s possibe doing it from a Ubuntu 22.04 ? Because it seems that it’s not using SDKManager.

Any idea on why the flash is not working ?

p.s. I’ll try to get the UART logs next time. Here are the flash logs attached.

Hi,

actually it doesn’t matter whether you get GUI or not when you just need to copy some files.
You should be able to login to the device via UART if the flash is successful.

No, please use 18.04 or 20.04.

Hi @DaveYYY ,

It worked ! Seems that the display was not working, I could ssh the device through Ethernet.

Thank you for your help and patience.
