How to set nvcc path in nsight?

after I upgraded cuda to 10.0, I failed to link my old cuda projects, which are created by cuda-9.1. Nsight says:
“nvlink fatal : Input file ‘/usr/local/cuda/lib64/libcudadevrt.a:cuda_device_runtime.o’ newer than toolkit (100 vs 91)”
I noticed that all files are compiled by /usr/local/cuda-9.1/bin/nvcc.
but I cannot find where to set this path to new version of cuda.

Hi, minghong.zhou

Please right click your project and check Properties.

Build->Tool Chain Editor to see if it has been set to 9.1

Hi Veraj,

I have configured tool chain to 10.0 as below. But it does not work. Nsight still chooses cuda-9.1.

Current toolchain: CUDA Toolkit 10.0
Current Builder: CUDA Toolkit 10.0 Builder

Hi, minghong.zhou

Are you launch nsight from 10.0 or 9.1 ?

If you launch it from 10.0, then nvcc default should be 10.0.

If you still see 9.1, I recommend you clean your project first, and then re-build again. There must be some configuration caused this. A full clean should resolve this.
