Product: OMEN MAX 16 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-ak0000 (A4UX5AV) Hello, I’m fairly new to Linux (Ubuntu), so please forgive me if this question seems basic — I’ve done my best to provide all the details. I recently got an HP OMEN 16 MAX laptop with an RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU and an AMD Ryzen AI 9 37…

Sounds like you don’t have dynamic boost enabled, I remember having the same issue on my 4090 laptop. Try sudo systemctl enable --now nvidia-powerd.serviceand see if that unlocks the full 140W. Refer Chapter 23. Dynamic Boost on Linux for more details. Make sure you’re plugged in as you will likely …

Ok so i tried to enable Dynamic Boost and i believe that this might be the issue as this is what i get after doing all the steps and checking the status: e :~$ systemctl status nvidia-powerd.service ● nvidia-powerd.service - nvidia-powerd service Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/nvidia-pow…

That’s getting beyond my abilities unfortunately. If you run nvidia-smi -q -d POWER again, have any of the power limits changed since enabling the service? The error regarding the Dynamic Boost DC controller could be nothing to worry about, as DC implies running on battery power, whereas AC would be…

Haha that’s alright i still am grateful for your help and no no changes were done on any of the power limits and as i already said im always running on AC so as you said it shouldnt affect anything. I also used to be able to login on x11 now i can’t which is a little strange but even so on X11 there…

Hi @Blondinka , thanks for reporting this issue. The notification for turning off has come from the SBIOS and it could be due to the laptop entering low battery state. DBDC engages back when the battery enters to a higher level again. Could you tell me the battery level at the time of the notificatio…

Same issue: I’m using an RTX 5070 laptop (OMEN 16), with a max TGP of 115W and a default TGP of 80W. Currently, it’s stuck at the default 80W. I have a dual-boot setup with CachyOS and Windows 11. I’ve tried switching to “Rage Mode” (i.e., performance mode) via the Omen Gaming Hub in Windows—the OEM…

This method seemed to use a tool which especially for RTX 5080 laptop. I think I can’t use the same tool with my 5070

it should also work for other models according to user reviews (ie with rtx 40-series), just try it out
