Is nvidia-persistenced necessary for confidential computing?

Hello,

I currently have a question about GPU in CC mode.
I found that the nvidia-persistenced keeps running while CC mode is on and I couldn’t turn off this daemon.
Soon after I stop running nvidia-persistenced, the NVIDIA driver can’t detect the GPU. (No device was found)
In the picture, I ran the systemctl stop nvidia-persistenced and then I got theNo devices were found. And starting the nvidia-persistenced again also didn’t work.

I would like to know why nvidia-persistenced is active and stay activated when it is CC mode.

Driver Version: 550.90.07 CUDA Version: 12.4
Ubuntu 22.04
