MAXN not supported on Seeed reComputer J3011?

I upgraded my Seeed reComputer J3011, which has an Jetson Orin Nano 8 GB SOM, to Jetpack 6.1 rev. 1. I only get the usual 7 W and 15 W modes, MAXN is not supported. When I upgraded a Jetson Orin Nano 8 GB SOM that is presumably from a DevKit using the exact same Seeed carrier board, I do get the MAXN option. Is this expected behavior? Is the hardware not identical?

Same issue for me, in my case i 'm using Yahboom Jetson Orin Nano 8GB Development Kit, i have installed Jetpack 6.1 on ssd and runs ok, i had deleted vnvmodel.conf and after reboot…no Max mode, only 7 and 15w…

All custom (non-NVidia) carrier boards require modified board support packages supplied by their respective manufacturers. ONLY the manufacturer can help you.

Most buyers of those boards don’t realize how important the manufacturer support is until it is too late.

I think the Seeed carrier board is very close to the Nvidia reference design. As I said, I have flashed two different Jetson modules with the exact same carrier board. One gives me the MAXN option, the other does not. So it is not the carrier board that is different, it is the Jetson SOM.

In fact, it seems as if the SOM that does not work is a P3767-0003 (without SD card slot), while the one that works is a P3767-0005. Also, when looking in /sys/devices/soc0, there are more entries for the -0005, also one file that says production. Couldl it have to do with fuses being burnt on my SOM from Seeed, while not on the other?

I only have genuine NVidia hardware next to my own and some ConnectTech boards, so can’t answer this question.

The upgrade is only for the Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit, 8GB. This is for the Jetson module with the SD card (0005). NVIDIA stated that support for other modules should be available in the next JetPack release.

Thanks for the clarification. Do you have a link to Nvidia’s statement?

Yes, currently only the sdcard module (sku5) will have super mode supported.

For the rest of module, you have to wait for next Jetpack release.

Also, for any custom board, please contact with the board vendor.
