Modifying flash_l4t_external.xml for 1TB external NVME and additional user partition

so I delete all partitions and that’s it? or you want me to create 1 big partition?

in addition: which flash you want me to do after finishing with the nvme

Try this.

I think we should now focus on customizing num_sectors and flashing with the -S option.

so use the defualt layer: flash_l4t_external.xml with the -S 256GiB and modify num_sectors to 2000409264. is that ok?

Yes, I will try the similar setup as you.

it worked. I don’t know what is the reason: setting different num_sectors or formatting the nvme.

I didn’t add a defualt user as you said, but i saw in the initial setup (GUI) , when it prompts for APP size, that the current APP size is 275GB and not 56GB as usual.

So now the next step is to modify the layout with fixed APP size and new partition and flash? (without using -S flag)

OK, I’m glad you got it to work now…

Yes, give it a try.

With the suggestion shown here.

I executed:
sudo fdisk -l /dev/nvme0n1
and got 2000409264 so I’ll use this value instead

I can confirm that now my custom layout works.
So we only have the USB flash failure left and we done. You want me to open a separate post on that?
