I may need to buy a whole new computer which I can barely afford, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I’m on popOS 22.04 gtx 1660TI mobile laptop that’s plugged into AC power. This throttling is a recent problem despite temperatures being 60C or lower. I’ve tried multiple driver updates and downgrades and setting it to high performance mode while using only the dedicated GPU. Currently on nvidia-driver-530.
Here’s the output of nvidia-smi -q -d PERFORMANCE, which shows that both SW power and thermal slowdown are active after merely tabbing between terminal windows (no other apps were open).
